I have twenty years of experience in nonprofit fundraising and grantmaking, with expertise in healthcare, arts and culture, operating and capital campaigns, foundation relations, and major gifts. The principal of JMP Grants Consulting since December 2018, I hold a B.A. magna cum laude in American Studies from Yale University and an M.A. in Modern European History from The University of Chicago. Since 2010, I have raised in excess of $20 million in government/foundation funding for mental health and substance use disorders. My previous employers include The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services. I bring professional experience in the arts communities of Los Angeles and Chicago; in Los Angeles, I served as the Associate Director of Development at UCLA’s Hammer Museum and Director of the Organizational Grant Program at the Los Angeles County Arts Commission, administering more than $4.5 million in grants to 250 local arts organizations. In Chicago, I worked for the Harris Theatre for Music and Dance and the Museum of Contemporary Art. I have served on numerous city, state, and federal review panels and am a former board member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
